Sauna Trip to Maine - Day 2
On the 2nd day, Garrett drove me down to Blue Hill, Maine, to meet his Russian sauna friend Sergei. While on its way, Garrett told me that Sergei built his own sauna and opens his sauna every Sunday to his friends and neighbors. It got me so excited about experiencing a new sauna and meet local sauna enthusiast. Especially, to check out a private sauna is such a precious experience. When we got to the little seaside village, I was so stunned by the beautiful serenity view. All the houses in the town were beautifully decorated by its owners and each home has so much character. Of course, Sergei's modern country style mansion was so gorgeous.
二日目はギャレットさんのお友達のセルゲイさんが住むメイン州のブルーヒルという場所に移動。セルゲイさんは建築関係の仕事をしており、サウナも自分で設計して建て、そのサウナを毎週日曜日にお友達やご近所さんにサウナを開放してらっしゃる。（心意気にすでに感動〜！）サウナ通が作ったプライベートサウナに入れるのは貴重なので行く前からワクワクでした。そして、着いてビックリ、セルゲイさんのお家はモダンカントリー調の大邸宅でした。2日間電気、水、究極の自給自足テントライフからの大豪邸というギャップに度肝抜かれたー。トイレ水洗、温かシャワー浴びれる、文明社会最高！！！って心の中で叫んでましたw。
Look at his beautiful sauna and pond that Sergei designed and self-built. The heat from the wood-burning sauna was pretty intense, and in fact, it was burning on the highest bench. While taking this sauna, I enjoyed doing loyly and whisking myself with birch twigs Sergei made. He runs this Sunday ritual and all the neighbors participating were enjoying chatting and socializing while taking a sauna, that's what the sauna is supposed to be.
セルゲイさんのゴージャスな自宅サウナとクールダウンように入る池の写真（でも、私はちょっと衛生上の理由から躊躇してシャワーで済ませました）サウナは本格的な薪サウナで、サウナベンチの位置が高いので、上段に座るとかなり高温でした。さすがロシアンスタイル。もちろん手作りの白樺のヴィヒタも用意されており、セルゲイさんがウィスキングまでしてくれるという、至れり尽くせりなサウナセッションでした。ご近所に住むご高齢のご夫婦や、NYから移り住んで来たというご夫婦など色んなお仕事やバックグランドの人達がサウナで集い、語り合っているところが、本当にサウナの醍醐味だなと感じました。

道具好きの私には、鉄のチリトリがたまらなくいいなぁと思いついつい眺めていました。
Having a little window in the sauna, I believe that this makes your sauna experience much more precious. It is a luxury to see nature while taking a sauna.
サウナの小窓から緑ある風景を眺めると、さらにリラックス効果が上がりますよね。
個人的には真っ暗なサウナよりも小窓付きが好きです。
The sauna benches are placed in a quite high position. I wonder if this is one of the features the Russian Banya has because Spa 88, the sauna spot in Manhattan, their benches are pretty hight also.

After the sauna, I was like this cat. Everything was just perfect here!
鬼ととのった後は、この猫ちゃんのようにディープリラックス状態で休憩タイム。
夜はセルゲイさんがご馳走を用意してくれ、もう極上の1日でした。
